I have been working for several different local coach and taxi firms full and part-time over the past 30 years, and I am very proud of what the Cumbrian Fells and Lakes have to offer visiting walkers, cyclists and those just wanting to do some sight-seeing.
We are passionate about the area which we live in and spectacular things to do see and visit and keeping the local dialect alive The Cumbrian dialect is a local Northern English dialect in decline, spoken in Cumbria (including historic Cumberland and Westmorland) and surrounding northern England, not to be confused with the area’s extinct Celtic language, Cumbria.
Why Herdwick Travel?
Well, we named our business after the Herdwick Sheep which have been instrumental in shaping the terrain and culture of The Lake District. They’re a hardy breed found mostly on the fells. You’ll see plenty on your travels with us while also taking in the breath-taking scenery.
